I had my first post-opp visit yesterday. I am to continue the muscle relaxers since I pulled something but I can FINALLY go back to work on Monday, with restrictions. I can now lift 10 pounds at the most. Addison is 23 pounds, so I still can't pick her up :(
We don't have any plans for the weekend, but I found out that the Cincinnati Museum Center has a Clifford the Big Red Dog exhibit and I think she would really enjoy that. We may take her tomorrow. Sunday mom will come :)
That's about it! I will get some pictures tonight and this evening to post later.

What a great mom!
Moms are wonderful people! My mom especially! She always comes down to our house on Sunday afternoons and we spend time together and then she stays with Addison on Mondays. Since I am still off work and can not do housework, she has been picking up the slack! Last week she did loads and loads of laundry and did our kitchen floor and this week she cleaned bathrooms, vacuumed and took me to run a couple errands today since it still is somewhat painful to drive. So, THANKS MOM!! I LOVE YOU!!
Right as we were about to leave this morning, Mayfield called (I was thinking they were confirming my appt for tomorrow...) to RESCHEDULE my appt for THURSDAY!! I'm so mad because the surgeon will not release me back to work until my stitches come out and he sees me walk, etc. So, now I'm hoping my return to work will be Friday. At least it's closer to the weekend. I will admit, I'm still limping and my back STILL hurts...I'm just hoping that it will go away within the next few weeks and I can get back to normal life. It is horrible not to be able to pick up Addison or do housework.
On top of my back still hurting, I now have a cold/sore throat (most likely from Addison's sickness last week). I guess it is good I will be able to sleep it off tomorrow instead of driving down to the Mayfield Clinic. I know I'm rambling away, but whenever I finish writing a blog entry I always forget about stuff that I wanted to put in--like what Addison can say and do these days. I have totally lost track of the amount of words she knows. Right now she is into talking to Zippy, but she calls her "Pipsy". When she is eating, she will say "No, No, Pipsy!"
And then of course Bye-Bye and Hi. She knows tons of food, thanks to all the plastic food items she scatters on the family room floor nightly. Favorite words are grapes, apples, applesauce, cookie, cake, waffle, eggs, milk, water, juice, hot dog, banana. She also says up, down, inside, outside, Pappa (my dad), Angie, Tony, JuJu (Aunt Julie), momma, dadda, more, nigh-nigh, Pooh, hair, nose, uh-oh, no, shoes, socks, potty, pee-pee, bath. I know there are tons more, but I can't think of them now. I am writing these for my own good-sorry if they bore some readers. She also really understands what we ask her--like "go get your shoes" or "take this to daddy". It is just amazing!!
Sorry no pictures today. I have a horrible sore throat and feel like crap and since Addison is taking a small siesta I think I will join her before dinner!!!

Visit from Aunt Angie and Uncle Tony
Today my mom came down as usual and Angie and Tony made a visit as well! Addison was so happy to see everyone. I made ranger cookies and chicken chili. My mom graciously cleaned both bathrooms and vacuumed! Thank you! Tony helped Jack move Addison's room around that her crib was not against the outside wall since it's getting so cold outside. I'm looking forward to going to the doctor on Tuesday to have my stitches removed in my incision. Since my back and leg still slightly hurt (more today than in the last week) I will probably stay home until at least Thursday or Friday this week.
Here are some pictures we took today....

I love my camera
These shots would only be possible with my awesome camera. So far, we have had a fun weekend. Friday, Jackie watched Addison while I laid on the couch on ice and Percocet for hours on end. I do fell much better though!! Tonight we went out to dinner with the Downings at Casadores. Yummy! We haven't been out in a long time with Addison so we thought we'd give it another shot and she was pretty good!!
A major cold front came through and changed the 75 degree weather to 45 and 50!! I can finally start listening to Christmas music! Thank goodness for On Demand on cable. Addison loved it and and danced to the music.
Anyway, I had a good photography day--we actually got some ponytails in and took some pics. Since Blogger does not do justice to these pictures--they are WAY better on Picasa and in print. I need to figure out how I can make the pics bigger on Blogger.
So here they are...(the red thing is a Swedish Fish--I know, I'm a bad influence!)

Can it get any worse?
I know you may be thinking "It would be so nice to stay home from work and do nothing." Well, that is not the case. I am bored out of my mind and still haven't been released back to work. I am counting down the days to my post-opp appointment on the 11th!! I'm hoping to go back on the 12th. My leg is still numb, but yesterday I did notice a slight improvement. I also still have pain in my calf, but not in my back any longer! Yah!
I totally forgot to take a picture of Addison yesterday, as it was her 17th month benchmark! I can't believe December 5th she will be a year and a half!! I need to call her pediatrician because I can't remember when she goes back. I'm pretty sure it's at 18 months. She came down with ANOTHER cold, but I'm not at all surprised. Daycare will do that! She was up a lot last night coughing and crying out for "Dada."
Yesterday I uploaded some prints to Sam's and I will go pick those up today. I had 3 pics enlarged to 11 x 14, so I'm hoping they turn out. Then I found some nice frames with mats at Kohls, which I plan to get with my 30% off coupon this weekend to hang behind the couch. I just started getting my pictures printed at Sam's and their quality is very nice (and VERY inexpensive!) An 11 x 14 was only $2.87! Yesterday I also sewed another valance for our kitchen. Same material as the one for the door since they are connecting rooms. I want to do so many other things with the house, but because of my back, I haven't been able to! That is another reason I'm going crazy because I lie around and see things I would like to do and can't!
I organized Addison's clothes a little too-it's amazing how fast she grows out of clothes and shoes. I have a bundle to pack up for the attic and then I need to majorly go shopping for winter clothes. I think she may only have about 5 long sleeve shirts. Since I am going to Sam's today and they sell Carter's, I may pick some stuff up. I really need to get with my dad and see if he will do some Christmas pics like last year. It's getting harder to take pictures of her though because she still doesn't understand the concept of "sit still and smile!"
Well, now begins another boring day...I look forward to 3:30 when Addison comes home. I do get up in the morning and get her ready too, which is fun!

My cousin finally surrendered!
My cousin, Kirstie, finally surrendered to Blogger with her NEW BLOG! She has twin girls that are 3 months older than Addison. She lives in southern Indiana, so we don't get to see her that much, but now we can get updates and pictures way more!!! Thanks Kirstie!!
Weekend Update
After trick or treat night on Friday, my back had had it! I took it very easy on Saturday! Sunday morning my mom came down to clean my house and do our laundry (I could have never asked for a better mom-she is the best ever!!) I swear I think she did 8 loads of laundry, vacuumed, and even washed the kitchen floor! Jack's family from Michigan also came into town for Betty's funeral, which was today. Jack's parents had a cookout on Sunday evening with the Michigan clan as well as the Siebenthaler clan from Dayton. Addison took a late nap, so we went over about 5:30. Here are some pics from the evening....

This morning at 9 was the viewing and then 10:30 there was a memorial service for Betty. It was beautiful!! Jackie did a wonderful (last minute!) job at writing a memoir about her mother for the service. Addison and I did not go to the burial, which was in Dayton because it was her naptime. We went back to my mom's and took naps... I laid on ice! Addison slept for 2 1/2 hours and after she woke up we drove up to the Siebenthaler's for a late lunch with all the family. Here are some pictures from their house--turned out to be a beautiful day and great picture-taking backgrounds! I do need to work on my action shots--Addison was all over the yard with their dog, Lily. Oh, and thanks so much Mike for taking such a professional picture of Jack and I!!!!
